Revopoint Pop 2 Scanner
This smaller tabletop scanner works fairly well installed on its tripod, for small (apple-sized) objects that can sit on the 10-inch
diameter rotating table we have to go along with it. It can also be handheld like the Sense - it needs a USB connection to a computer
(or your phone) with the corresponding software installed.
The software for the Pop 2 is also free to download -
Revopoint Pop 2
As we only have one of these right now, for the time being we'll need to take it out for use during supervised hours, in 3-412.
Please check in with TAs for 4.140, and/or email archshops about scheduling use.
The distance from the scanner to the object needs to be fairly close. The software will indicate whether your distance is acceptable or not.
This scanner/software is very easy to use - but as with all scanners, defects can be hard to avoid depending on the object being scanned.
The manuals are available in PDF on the Revoscan download page as well - here is the English version:

The printed bust that comes with the machine for testing is chosen very specifically because it scans well with minimal difficulty. The bottom
of this scan still closed up in an interesting way, however (it should just be flat).
Make sure you keep everything in the box that we store the scanner/round table and other parts in, and don't leave it out on the table.
Don't forget to tell the TA/monitor when you're done and have packed it back up, so they can put it back in storage.
Artec Eva Lite (TBA)
Setup of stand/rotating table/background in progress = this scanner will only be available under supervision in 5-419 or Studio 5 for the time being
